I want to love…

It is such an easy word to toss around, as if it’s true face has fallen apart like a dandelion in the wind, each little precious segment that makes it whole, floating in staggered directions into the void of unknown until it is no more, and so it has happened…love has lost its identity. One two three and it was gone.

It scares me because I live to love, but when I ask someone, what love is to them, more often than too few they struggle to find the words to compile a meaningful raw answer. It shatters my heart into sharp fragments which I feel ripping through my soul letting it bleed out for them, because they deserve to feel love…

Everyone deserves to feel love, to be loved, and most importantly to be loved. We countlessly forget that we were created in God’s image, WE were created in GOD’S image. And the Lord is the purest example of love:

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. “--- John 3:16

Therefore, we feel the need to love. Therefore, you feel the need to love. Therefore, I feel the need to love. Therefore, we feel the need to be loved. Therefore, you feel the need to be loved. Therefore, I feel the need to be loved…

“We love God because he first loved us” (1 John 4:19). God is the first cause of all that is good and right in the world. Wherever and whenever love exists on earth, it only exists because it is a reflection of God's perfect love that created us and sustains us.

I wake up on a daily wishing I had someone to hold, someone to love, someone to share the small joys in life with, someone to shed tears with, someone to love life with. It eats me up on the inside because I was made to love, it is an emotion with immense strength within me. Every single time I feel empty of love I remind myself that love is first found through the Lord…

If we cannot love Him, we are not ready to love someone else.

Who am I to even think I have the right to love someone without loving Him first?

Love is first found in the Lord.

P.S. To that perfect woman walking on the face of the earth between 7 billion people that the Lord has planned for me, I cannot wait to meet you…
